This week I had a lot of people ask about the recommendations I received when I asked about family-friendly resorts suggestions. You guys had some good ones, so I am going to share some of those, as well as what we think we have narrowed down as our options for the summer. We also have some good work wear related questions, so let's get to it.

HELP! I NEED A GOOD EVERYDAY BAG

I had a sweet reader write in needing help selecting a good everyday/work bag. There are some really cute options and price points out there, so I had fun pulling these together. A lot of these bags are perfect for travel or work. Throw your laptop, notebook and folders in there and hit the road. I have to have something fashionable and functional and I do not want to spend a fortune. I feel like everyday bags take such a beating being thrown on the train or in the back of you car, so I like to make sure there are affordable options too. But, never sacrifice style. You won't see many small bags. I prefer a BIG OL' BAG, cause for some reason I got a lot of stuff.

WHERE SHOULD WE GO ON FAMILY VACATION

This was hands down the number one question I was asked this week. You guys are super excited to take some family vacations and honestly I can't say that I blame you. So we have narrowed our vacation options for our family trip down to two. So our first option is the Four Seasons Anguilla. We love this option because it looks like they have an amazing kids camp that the kids can enjoy. {open year round- that is something to think about during the summer months. Most resorts slow that down durning non-peak season} And have you looked at the pictures??? If that resort doesn't scream Living with Landyn, I don't know what does. The other option we are looking for is actually taking a cruise. We are looking at Royal Carribean's 7-night Eastern Carribean cruise. There are just so many different things for everyone to be able to do and enjoy and the kids are super stoked about a rock wall and a water park on the ship. We took the Disney Cruise a few years back and it was a BLAST. I'm kinda leaning toward staying in one spot and taking in the resort life for those days, but I have a feeling being away at sea might win.

I did however have a couple of resorts that either came up several times or you guys recommended and I loved how they looked, so I wanted to share some of the top recommendations with you guys.

Beaches: Turks and Caicos, Negril and Ochos Rio

So this was the number one recommendation from all of you guys. If you have kids, especially younger ones, this appears to be the resort for you guys. They have three locations: Turks and Caicos, Negril and Ochos Rio. Beaches are all-inclusive resorts so you literally pay upfront and you have everything covered-all your activities, kids camps, food, alcohol...you name it they have it. It literally looks like a parents dream and the resorts and destinations are beautiful. So basically you will not go wrong with this. I was reassured it wasn't too cheesy. I hear if you can, stay in the Key West Village section of accommodations.

This all-inclusive on beach-blessed Providenciales (the most populated of the 40 Turks and Caicos islands, located just a 100-minute flight from Miami) is full of gleeful parents who can’t quite believe that they’re on vacation with their kids and things are going great. That’s because Beaches, the well-oiled, family-oriented link in the Sandals chain, manages to be all things to all age groups: newborns are cared for by certified nannies; younger children get treated to conniption-inducing appearances by costumed Sesame Street characters at a supervised activities center; and older kids have a pool with slides and a swim-up juice bar, plus unlimited use of Xbox stations (no quarters required, and, no, you are not alone in finding this both appalling and hugely appealing). Besides kayaking, waterskiing, windsurfing, and sailing, the resort, by the translucent blue waters of 12-mile-long Grace Bay Beach, has a superb scuba operation: certified divers get two free outings daily on a reef where visibility is often close to 200 feet. (Introductory diving lessons are also available.) There’s water excitement closer to home, too—home being 453 rooms distributed among 78 pink, green, and blue villas. The one- to three-bedroom units in the French Village have private concierge service. Opening by year’s end: 168 new family suites (with bunk beds and game consoles), and a massive water park with a surf simulator, lazy river, and tweens-only pool featuring—OMG!—spray guns and water cannons.

Four Seasons : Nevis West Indies

Lots of recommendations to stay here. I spent quite a bit of time on their website. Here's some of the things you loved and the resort pays special attention to when vacationing with the little ones.

The Four Seasons Nevis has an enviable spot in the West Indies, with no neighboring hotels to compete for its wide stretch of Pinney's Beach. Arrive at this former coconut plantation via a 25-minute private hotel boat from St. Kitts's airport or direct air service from San Juan. Children participating in the Resort's Sea Turtle Education and Adoption program receive an adoption certificate for an endangered sea turtle. Has a playground equipped with a pint-size general store; in addition, the facility housing the Kids for All Seasons children's program boasts a mock pirate ship, a jungle area with a tropical tree house, and stuffed monkeys hanging from a tree. Offers a smiley-face fruit plate and Kermit's Grilled Fresh Fish of the Day with vegetables and rice on its children's menu. The concierge can arrange for a Monkey Excursion, where families can explore the tropical rainforest with a local naturalist in search of wild green monkeys. The Kids for All Seasons facility is strategically placed in the middle of the resort, so whether parents are at the spa, dining, or at the pool or beach, they're only steps away from their children. Activities include cake baking, croquet, sea turtle watch, beach walks, and a supervised lizard hunt, often followed by story time in the shade of a palm tree.

SUGAR BEACH: VICEROY RESORT ST. LUCIA

A lot of you have stayed here and loved it. It does look pretty darn nice. We are liking the bungalows and having privacy. That is one thing hubby and I have agreed on for this trip. Having the activities of a hotel/resort, but almost feel as if we are alone most of the time. How about this view. Below are some of it's offerings.

I NEED A GREAT WORK SHOE

Honestly, ain't nobody got time to tromp around the office in 4 inch heels. Your feet are literally screaming by the end of the day. A few of my readers asked if I had any suggestions for cute work shoes that had heels more in the 1.5-2.5 inch range. YES!!! Women of the world unite. We do not have to torture ourselves in four inch heels for 10 hours per day! So here are some really cute options that I have found.
