WHAT THE KIDS ARE WEARING THESE DAYS

I don’t know about you mama’s, but with every age that the kiddos turn, I swear they grow 5 more inches. I mean…we seriously can’t keep the same clothes each season no matter what. The amount of shopping we do is UNREAL..anyone with me? It may be worse than when they were little, cause they have an opinion. > insert eye roll. Ha!

I definitely tend to shop more my taste when it comes to them, well, because I’m the one doing the shopping. Yet, thankfully they have taken a lot of what they prefer from Steve and I’s style, so we basically have a mini me’s. And I’m not mad about it.

LILY

Lily has for sure come into her own when it comes to style, but she is a lot like me as far as staying with the neutral colors and not a ton of pattern. She was never the sparkle, ya know, kitten with a crown wearing kid or anything like that (THANK GOD), which made this mama VERY happy. What I love about her is that she mixes in a little of her own flare with some vintage looks! I swear this child should have grown up in 1974. She ROCKS the 70’s / 80’s vibe…give her a good vintage tee and a wide leg pant with sneakers, and she is good to go. Some of her favorite stores are Target, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, Target, Asos, and Express depending on what we are looking for!

LUKE

Luke, aka my mini Steve, would wear a Nike shirt and Nike shorts EVERY DAY of the week, but if we are going to dinner, out in the world or on vacation, he is super easy going. He hates shopping, so he usually goes with whatever I get him, and is good to go with a nice button up, jeans, and a street style sneaker. He is in that stage not a boy, but not really a man when it comes to clothes. I’m talking, jeans, shirts, and everything in between! If you know, you know. You have to find that perfect pair of jeans for the boys, because they are in either men’s which can be too big or boys and then their too small. Goodness, the struggle is real. When he does decide to want to shop, and I bribe him with a Auntie Anne’s Pretzel, again not usual, but he likes the occasional stop at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Gap, Nordstrom, Target, or Express.

I will say, it has been fun to have mini me’s as far as shopping goes, but to also see what they like to bring of their own into their style. They are super go with the flow kids when it comes to fashion and what they want their style to look like, but don’t get me wrong, I still have to remind them to brush their teeth and hair. I mean….the norm right? Please tell me I’m not alone here.

Below I sourced some things hanging in their closets and some things they’d wear If I brought them home. Hopefully you find this helpful.
