THE BEST WINTER ATHLEISURE

The weather this winter has had me grabbing for my sweats more than I care to admit. It has been FREEZING here in Nashville. Luckily athleisure has stepped up its game in recent years and has totally entered the realm of mainstream fashion. At least I don't have to feel guilty when I reach for those leggings for the third day in a row. I went on a little athleisure shopping spree last week and grabbed so many great pieces. This is your fair warning that there will be a lot of pictures in this post, but I loved everything I got so much I couldn't not share it.
WHAT I'M WEARING
WORK UP A SWEAT
I had to start with these leggings because I am OBSESSED with them. These are the Zella Live In High Waisted Leggings that everyone on the Internet talks about. And there is a reason; it is because they are that good. I love the price point and how well they suck you in. I absolutely love the pattern on these leggings. They make them different without being too crazy. If you are a runner, you absolutely have to get these. Why you ask? Because the print on the pants is also reflective, so you can stay safe while running at night. So cool!
I paired them with this cozy Nike sweatshirt which is perfect to throw on going in and out of the gym and my favorite Nike tennis shoes. I typically don't take my big jacket in to the gym because I am always sweaty and hot when I leave and I hate a jacket sticking to me. Enter the perfect gym sweatshirt.
During my athlesiure shopping spree I discovered a new brand that Nordstrom is now carrying called Alala. It is a bit pricier, more in line with Alo, but their pieces are so stylish, comfortable and really well made. Since they are a newer brand to Nordstrom, the selection is more limited, but Carbon38 and Revolve both carry the line and have a great selection that varies from Nordstrom. If you like the look of this brand you will definitely want to check those two sites as well.

I mean, how fabulous is the detailing on the sleeve of this pullover. The sweatshirt I got is so comfortable and I love the side venting and the high-low hem. It would be perfect for the gym or for running around.

Let's be honest, I wear my athleisure outside of the gym just as often as I wear it to the gym. I love that I can throw on a pair of leggings and with the right accessories I can wear them out to lunch with a girlfriend or running errands. This is also a great look if you need to go straight from the gym to head to the grocery or swing by the kids school for a class party. Just because you are dressed in athleisure doesn't mean you have to look frumpy and unstylish. Throw a leather jacket on a stylish top and you are ready to hit the streets.
