HEY LANDYN.. I'VE GOT A QUESTION

IMG_0098.JPG

Hey guys!  I got a ton of questions about different things we did in Cabo, so for this week's Hey Landyn!  I wanted to answer all of those questions in case you are planning a trip to that part of Mexico anytime soon.  Cabo is one of our very favorite places to vacation and we've been several times, so I am going to give you a couple of favorites from previous trips too, just to make sure you have lots of good info.

Xx,
Landyn

WHERE DID YOU EAT WHILE IN CABO?

So for this particular trip, we actually did not eat out that much.  We were able to use a private chef who came to the house and cooked us the majority of our meals while we were there.  That was actually one of my favorite parts of the trip; getting to sit around the table every night with my closest friends, share a meal, and talk and laugh for hours. However, as I mentioned, we have been to Cabo several times so I am going to share some of my favorites from previous trips too.  I have to start with Flora Farms.  This was actually one of the only places we went out to dinner during our trip and I have to say it is a MUST visit!

FLORA FARMS

I have to start with Flora Farms.  It is one of my favorite restaurants in the world and if you can only eat out once while you are in town, this is the place you have to go.  In fact, you could probably eat every single meal here and never get tired of the location or the food.  It is an absolutely stunning 10-acre working farm that grows all the food that is used in the various restaurants on property.  I literally can not do justice to the beauty of this place.  If you go, make sure you order a Farmarita...I promise you will love it!

A couple of other places we love to eat are Nicksan, which is actually a Japanese restaurant with the most delicious sushi.  I know sushi seems a little out of place in Mexico, but the fish is so incredibly fresh and everything is delicious.  We also love Seared, which is in the One & Only Palmilla resort.  It is an American-style steakhouse, but if you are in the mood for a great steak and glass of wine...like my husband always is, then you should definitely check it out.  In fact, one of our favorite things to do is to go to some of these pretty resorts to look around and then have a nice dinner.  They all have amazing dining options.

WHERE'S A FUN PLACE TO GO FOR DRINKS IN CABO?

THE OFFICE

If you are looking for a true beach-side dining and drinking experience then you have to go to The Office.  I will be honest, it is a little touristy and it will not necessarily be the best meal that you have in Cabo, but it definitely will have one of the best atmospheres.  It is literally directly on the sand and the tables practically go all the way down to the water's edge.  The tables all have umbrellas that practically touch, so it creates a great shaded canopy.  They have live music and great drinks and it really makes for a fun afternoon.  It is also a great place to get a souvenirs, because local vendors and artisans line up outside of the restaurant and you can just walk around and pick up a great bag, bracelet, or any other trinket you might want to take home with you.

WHAT WERE THOSE DUNE BUGGY THINGS YOU RENTED IN CABO?

THE ULTIMATE THRILL

Steve and I wanted to plan a fun little surprise for our friends while we were in Cabo.  Since we were there for a full week we were looking for something different to do that would really let people experience the beauty of Mexico.  Luckily for us, our friend who owns the house we stayed at had told us about The Ultimate Thrill.  Guys!  It was so freaking amazing and such a once in a lifetime experience.  If you are going to Cabo, you absolutely have to do it.  They are guided dune buggy tours that literally take you all throughout the Baja Peninsula.  It is so amazing because you get to get out of the town and resort area and see the true undeveloped side of Mexico.  They paired us four to a dune buggy and the a guide led us all through the dunes and cliffs of Baja.  We got to stop and swim, get out and look at views, visit a small Mexican village, and the boys got to live out their race car driver dreams.  It was so cool!  I HIGHLY recommend it!
