WHAT YOU’LL NEED
3 lbs beef bones (ask your butcher)
1 tbs olive oil
1 white onion, quartered
2 stalks celery, halved, leaves and all
2- 3 jalapeno peppers, stems removed and halved, seeds and all
1 large carrot. rough chopped
2 garlic cloves, rough chopped
1 tbs tumeric powder
2 tbs whole peppercorns
1 tbs apple cider vinegar
water
WHAT TO DO
Set your instapot to the sautee high setting.
Add olive oil and beef bones. Moving around every so often until a bit browned, about 5 minutes.
Remove bones and set aside.
Add onion, celery, jalapenos, carrot and garlic. Sautee until vegetables slightly soften.
Add tumeric, apple cider vinegar and peppercorns.
Fill water to max line on inside of instapot and add the bones back in.
Lock and set Instapot high pressure setting and set time for 2 hours.
Allow a natural steam release, don't open the vent manually. Let the unit cool. This could take up to an hour. Making total cook time about 3 hours.
Once cooled down, strain broth into a large bowl or pitcher. Discard bones, vegetables etc..
Pour broth into fat separator. Discard extra fat, and reserve broth. Store into airtight serving size containers.
